Bio Energy

In 2007, Group Machiels and Farm Frites established BioEnergy in Lommel. BioEnergy converts 150,000 tonnes of organic-biological waste into green electricity.
Steam, process water and fertiliser for farming are also BioEnergy products. The company picks up 130,000 tonnes of potato by-products from Farm Frites and another 20,000 tonnes from other food companies.
